Almost outside the centre,, near the old cemetery there is the Grain store. A large building in an imposing position it a s erected on one of the highest points of the city.
Built by the Ruspoli family at the end of the 14th century and at the turn of the 18th. It comprises a large factory of three floors, with an area elevated in the guise of a tower.
The ground floor has a vault ceiling and a large entrance which allowed carriages with loads and grain to arrive up to the top floor.
This was used as a deposit for grain received in payment from the tenants of the lower floor.
