The Museum of Cerveteri , inaugurated in 1967 and located inside the Ruspoli Castle is right in the historical centre of the city and conserves part of the discoveries from the excavations at the Ceretane Necropolis and the residential areas. The visit starts on the right side of the entrance and proceeds to the lower floor and then to the upper floor. In the entrance, exhibits of objects from the Villanovan occupation are on display with particular examples from the burial ground of Sorbo.
In the first room, of great importance is a small urn depicting a wedding banquet ( a minute copy of the very famous "sarcophagus" on display at Villa Guilia) and the crater of the painter of the Eptacordo, a well known artist of Caere from the first decades of the 7th century BC.
